I was born in January 1971 in the picturesque town of Murnau am Staffelsee at the foot of the Upper Bavarian Alps, where I also spent my childhood and youth. From 1986 to 1989 I completed an apprenticeship as a typesetter. This was followed by a detour into Apple systems consulting and civilian service.
In a career spanning well over 30 years, I have worked as a freelancer for various advertising agencies, was art director for a direct marketing agency, became a graphic designer for over nine years in a full-service agency, and then spent almost ten years as a lithographer in a litho studio, which during this time was integrated as an independent full-service agency into the largest owner-managed advertising agency in Europe. Click here for a detailed description of my career.
My spectrum covers all skills - from conception and copywriting to layout, image editing and final artwork to Apple system administration. All common programs, especially Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator are in my blood. Under the motto "Impossible things are done immediately, miracles take a little longer" I can incorporate these skills into any of my work. Besides my profound education and extensive experience, I am characterized by the ambition to lead any challenge to the best solution.
In my spare time I enjoy literature and motorcycles. I am also active as a volunteer in the non-profit organization Benefiz4Kids e.V., which I co-founded. I live out my love of history and archaeology in the hobby of "reenactment".
